You may be new to scuba diving and realizing that scuba diving can be a costly sport. You may be looking for discount scuba gear, so that you can spend more money getting in the water instead of on your equipment. Let’s track some hot spots where you can purchase great discount scuba gear.
1) Discount Scuba Gear on Amazon
You may be surprised at what you can find on Amazon. For example, there are over 10,000 results when you search for “Scuba Diving”. What I would suggest is that you segment that data down by searching for “Discount Scuba Gear”, and you’ll see between 250 – 300 results for that search.
You’ll find everything from dive masks from dive fins. Plus, you get the great customer experience that Amazon offers and often free shipping due to the spending requirement.
2) Scuba’s Close Out Section
I was surprised to see what Scuba.com had to offer. Although some of the wetsuits in the close out section were still multiple hundreds of dollars, you may still be able to find some good deal on discount scuba gear. For example, I saw Akona rash guard for over 50% off. You will also notice the shipping policy which provides free shipping for all order over $49.
You may not find that the close out section as wide ranging as Amazon, but Scuba does provide an attractive 150% price match guarantee.
3) Leisure Pro Diving
Leisure Pro has a collection of over 300 items as of the time of this writing when you visit its clearance section. You may find that the pricing varies wildly in terms of the total percentage off. For example, you may see some times that are about 10% off, but other items that are 50% off.
You may also find favorable searching terms by searching through their shipping policy and seeing the “free shipping” text on the item you are purchasing. Every little bit helps.
4) Craigslist Discount Scuba Gear
Check your local Craigslist for the latest discount scuba diving gear. For example, when I searched scuba diving in Craigslist, there were about 50 different items from scuba diving fins (OMS Slipstream) for $80 or a Scuba Pro Classic diving vest for $99. It’s often not brand new, but you can find great discounts.
Also, you may have great success negotiating an even lower rate. Check how long the posting has been up for and whether there are other items that are similar, but priced much more competitively.
